If you're looking to refine the appearance of your nose or improve your ability to breathe through it, rhinoplasty is the surgical solution for you. Whether it's for cosmetic purposes, functional purposes, or a combination of both, this procedure has got you covered. Aside from the obvious aesthetic benefits, rhinoplasty can also repair a deviated nasal septum, improving your overall ability to take in air through your nostrils.
So why not take that next step to achieve the nose you've always wanted? With rhinoplasty and the team at ENT & Allergy Associates, the possibilities are endless. Our surgeons are uniquely trained and qualified to successfully perform and complete this procedure, regardless of your reason for seeking one.
Rhinoplasty, which may be performed through either an internal or an external incision depending on your surgeon’s determination, commonly takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. You can then expect to have a nasal cast for approximately one week after surgery. At the time of the initial consultation with your surgeon, your nose will be analyzed, and you will hold a comprehensive discussion to determine the best approach to improve your appearance. Often, photos will be taken of you and imaging software will be used to help you visualize what the changes will look like.
Rhinoplasty & Adolescents
When it comes to adolescents, Cosmetic Rhinoplasty is commonly performed once most of the growth has been completed— for girls, that’s starting at the age of 14 or 15; boys are around 15 or 16 years of age. Participation in contact sports also plays a role in the timing of the operation.
Recuperation is usually about five to seven days, but physical activities are off-limits for at least two weeks. Contact sports are to be avoided for at least six weeks so that the bones heal properly. After surgery, bruising may occur and generally lasts approximately one to two weeks.

"I came as a first time patient to treat nasal breathing issues I've had for 1.5 years since contracting COVID. I wasn't expecting much in the way of help or relief, but I was certainly very wrong!! After seeing Dr. Alexander only ONCE for treatment and diagnosis, I was breathing like my old self in less than a week without issue!! Had I known I would have such a positive outcome and experience, I would have made an appointment to see him much sooner. He's knowledgeable and kind, listens to your concerns and is straightforward in his treatment. I'm grateful to him for saving my breathing and providing much needed and long sought-after relief. Hands down I would recommend him to anyone needing an ENT specialist!"
